You may remember this post: http://lindsaypell.wordpress.com/2013/02/12/sneak-peek/ where I mentioned an eye gel that I tested from Intelligent Nutrients. Well, they are finally making it available for purchase tomorrow. Super exciting.

Goldy’s 10-Mile was on April 13 this year. It was cold! And I was suuuper sick. The night before I woke up at 2am totally achy with a sore throat and was pretty sure I had to bow out. Luckily, I woke up again at 6am and felt slightly better. Breakfast was DayQuil and toast and then of course a pre-race espresso flavored Gu. I actually felt fine while running it. I’m also pleased with my time, too.
No finish line pictures have been posted yet so I’ll likely update this when they’re available.

Looks like I’ve decided to start a tradition when visiting baseball stadiums. Check it out.
Target Field–Minneapolis, MN [April 2010]

Nationals Park–Washington, D.C. [July 2012]

US Cellular Field–Chicago, IL [April 2013]

I’ve also been to Wrigley Field (2006) and Progressive Field (well, it was Jacobs Field when I was there in 2007) but no fun beer cup shots. Where next?
Also, let’s just say no Friday Favorites from this past Friday. That was a ROUGH week. But I will put up something about our trip to Chicago soon.

Favorites! Let’s do this.
Service: You know what I like? A little color every now and then. Like from the sun. I’m half Swedish so I’ll never have a lasting tan. Thankfully, there’s this thing called custom spray tans. Every now and then for special occasions, I like to have Glow show up at my house and spray me. It is such a perfect color. And they come to your house! Did you catch that part?
Movie: The Dark Knight Rises. Erik and I finally watched this and I loved it. I cried at the end. Hard. Embarrassing.
Establishment: I compiled another guide for Eater and had to do some digging around, asking questions, etc. I got a hold of the owner at Republic to ask some questions about their new chef and upcoming changes to their menu. What a nice guy. Erik and I went to the Seven Corners location this past December and the tap selection was great but getting to talk to the owner who was so willing and thankful to talk to me was just a delight. Everyone should go to Republic. Looking forward to visiting the Calhoun Square location soon!
All for now. Goldy’s tomorrow. Then some serious tailgating and the Twins game. Bundle up, kids!

Goldy’s 10-Mile is tomorrow. This is one of my favorite races and it will be my 3rd year running it. You finish the race running through the tunnel onto the field at TCF Bank Stadium! One year Goldy was on a Segway coming the other way and I almost fell over laughing. Here’s my playlist. It is so awesome and stupid, I love it.
1. Top Of The World by Van Halen–Can’t stop, won’t stop
2. Jesus He Knows Me by Genesis–This song is funny and has a great beat
3. Loca People by Sak Noel–Swear words get me through a lot in life
4. Your Love Is Driving Me Crazy by Sammy Hagar–Hot, sweet, cherries on the vine!
5. Silenced By The Night (Alesso Remix) by Keane–Really good beat
6. Dancing On My Own by Robyn–I just love this song
7. Finish What Ya Started by Van Halen–Yep, more Sammy. Read his book to learn how this song got written.
8. Barometer Soup by Jimmy Buffett–I want to live on a boat. End of story.
9. My Life Would Suck Without You by Kelly Clarkson–Good running song
10. I’m A Man by The Spencer Davis Group–I will have to refrain from crazy dance-running.
11. Uprising by Muse–It is just another good one
12. Walking on a Thin Line by Huey Lewis & The News–Huey is the man
13. Some Kind Of Wonderful by Grand Funk Railroad–Because…can I get a witness?
14. Sugar Shack by Jimmy Gilmer–Quick story, Erik bought Third Street Brewhouse Sugar Shack the other day and just had to hear the song. And I can’t stop listening to it. Amazing.
I may have to add a few more to get me to an hour and a half of run time so that’s neat.

Happy Friday! Spring is here, the snow is melting, and Sea Salt Eatery opens today. Gawbless a sea food restaurant that serves really good beer next to a waterfall that we can BIKE to. I love where I live. Here are some favorites this week.
Makeup: Please disregard last Friday’s favorite of the Dr. Jart+ BB Cream. That stuff is good but it has ingredients which are bad. I found a better product. Juice Beauty CC Cream. It covers redness, it is hydrating, and it is so lightweight. The ingredients are much cleaner and I’m loving it.
Makeup Tool: I started using my Lauren Luke foundation brush to apply the CC Cream and I think it is the best thing ever. I can’t get over how great my complexion looks. Also, Lauren’s brushes are good stuff. I’m a fan.
Twins Baseball: It is back and I’m very excited. I don’t care how they do, I just love it all. The media event at Target Field got me stoked. I’ll be going to a home game next week and then also seeing them in Chicago soon.
Sorry, not a lot of favorites today. I have a not too busy weekend and I’m loving that. Goldy’s Run is a week away!

So, yesterday I went to Target Field for a media food event. I did. I am not making this up. At the media event, they unveiled new foods and revisited some notable favorites.
Doesn’t it look lovely? So perfect.
Turkey To-Go 4 life.
Surly is now located on the main plaza [section 141]. This is valuable information! They will have Furious on tap and Bender and Hell available in cans.
Fulton has Sweet Child O’ Vine on tap here, too.
They’ve revamped the State Fair Classics menu. No more turkey leg and BBQ ribs but instead they’ll have St. Paul’s Mac’s Fish & Chips. You get fresh, not frozen walleye that is hand battered only prior to frying. I didn’t try a bite but it looked great. Fried pickles are also new this year.
Fish & chips, cheese curds, and fried pickles.
Someone must have made a mistake and allowed this Chicago beer in the stadium. No bueno. Why don’t you get on the 94, drive through Wisconsin, continue on to the 90, get off on the North Clybourn Ave, and go back where you belong!
Heeeey, what’s good at Frankie V’s? Ten-ounce meatballs and paninis is what.
Something about baked potatoes…I don’t know.
You guys! So pretty!
New new new! Chef Andrew Zimmern has brought his Cabrito Burger to the field. This is what I was looking forward to trying the most. It is a lamb and goat burg on a super duper buttery, toasty bun. It also had some onions and pickled something on it. Super juicy and delicious. Now, this burger costs $13. People might be like, um whoa, but I’ll be honest, I’ve spent $14 on Smack Shack mac & cheese before. You’re getting a really tasty burger with high quality ingredients. Plus you’re at a stadium and you’re also paying $7-$9 for beer so you know what you’re getting into.
Hibiscus punch. I did not sample this since they were serving big gulp sizes and I only wanted a sip. It is MAGENTA. All caps MAGENTA. I also believe it will stain your mouth this color sooooo, you can be that guy.
There were other foods to try. But this is all I’m going to post. While I was at the event, I sample a Sheboygan cheddar brat, some jalapeno popper mac & cheese, the cabrito burger, and Surly and Fulton beers. Then the cherry on the sundae was a swag bag. What? For me? Wow.
Best day ever?
P.S. Here is why I was at the media event: http://minneapolis.eater.com/archives/2013/03/28/where-to-eat-at-target-field-home-of-the-minnesota-twins.php Do you see my name? Last line. A couple of the pictures are also mine.
